The farmhouse that bears my name: Anna, a few kilometers from Greve in Chianti, was born in 1988 when for the first time a wonderful family from Austria was the guest of my father Giorgio. The first farmhouses in Chianti were born during this time and my family had to employ all its tenacity and determination to see the realization of the dream of making our house a “home for everyone”. It was fantastic … my mother in the kitchen churning out dishes, my father to show the features of his Chianti Classico, and I running around among the tables behind him, with the dictionary always in my hand.
Today I can proudly say that I have followed in the footsteps of my father and continued on his way.
All of our guests, when they arrive at our farm in Florence’s Chianti, are immediately captivated by the view you that can be enjoyed from the rooftop terrace. From our terrace, and from the windows of our rooms you can always enjoy a show that never ends and that is renewed every day, every hour and every season: the Chianti countryside, its vines, its olive trees and the scattered villages, all this can fill your eyes with wonder every time you watch.
This is what you see from our farmhouse in Greve in Chianti but what you hear is the “silence” of nature, what you breathe is the smell of wine and oil before they are bottled, what you taste are the flavors of our cuisine, which is modern and traditional at the same time, of our wine and our oil, what you experience is our hospitality, the familial atmosphere that turns every guest into a friend …
